Markus Wekerle Markus Wekerle has seen this and that in the world before returning home to the peaceful Schwaningen. He brought his culinary art to perfection at Alfons Schuhbeck's Kurhausstüberl Waging am See; a profound teacher was Rolf Straubinger at Burgrestaurant Staufeneck in the Swabian town of Göppingen; he worked with Alfred Klink in the star-awarded kitchen of the Hotel Colombi in Freiburg. The show at Hans-Peter Wodarz's mad restaurant with cabaret "Pomp, Duck & Circumstance" in Berlin was an unique huge catering event every evening. He broadened his horizon in Ecuador and Sri Lanka. His experience in far countries still sometimes influences the ingredients of his recipes. In his not terribly ample spare time, Markus Wekerle dedicates himself with passion to the art of hunting and he makes some bold mountain bike trips.
Alexandra Wekerle, Alexandra Wekerle comes from the Upper Bavaria, the capability of dealing with people in a cordial manner runs in her blood. An excellent on-the-job training and the useful learning and wandering years put the icing on the cake. She acquired a distinct feeling for exemplary hospitality at Alfons Schuhbeck's Kurhausstüberl in Waging am See and at the restaurant "Pomp Duck & Circumstance", owned by Peter Wodarz and situated in a Spiegeltent ("mirror tent"); at Gerd Käfer's Bistro in Wiesbaden she held the position of assistant restaurant manager. Alexandra dedicates devotedly her scarce free time to her three lively children.
